Instructions for Authors
Materials must be submitted to program track chair no later than July 10th.
For authors of research papers and posters
For keynote speakers, and presenters in the government and commercial program tracks
Final versions due no later than July 10th.
To include a paper or presentation in the Proceedings, at least one of the authors must register for the conference.
We are publishing both papers (preferred) and Powerpoint presentations. So, please select one of the following two options:
Alternative 1. Printed Papers
- Please prepare papers using the MS Word template in this document.
- Save as a *.pdf file.
- Send both source and pdf versions to either the Government Program Chair, Nick Bemish (email: nicholas.bemish@dia.mil) or the Commercial Program Co-Chair, Mike Dillinger (email: mike@translationoptimization.com).
Alternative 2. Powerpoint Presentations
- Please submit no more than 10 pages but at least six pages, with two presentation slides per page. That is a maximum of 20 slides. Ensure that the slides are readable when condensed in this manner. You can use this sample presentation as a guide.
- In selecting and editing slides, retain slides containing presenter’s name and affiliation and those containing substantive technical content. Omit slides which actually, or in appearance, advertise or endorse any particular product or entity.
- Preliminary versions of final presentations are fine and acceptable; your current version gives attendees something concrete to follow even though you may still be editing the presentation. Note that presentations are published in black & white.
- Dark-colored or busy backgrounds reproduce poorly; so avoid them. For papers with foreign language scripts like Chinese and Arabic, conversion to pdf (again, two slides per page) is imperative, to ensure that the foreign language characters render correctly.
- Save as a *.pdf file.
- Send both Powerpoint and pdf versions to either the Government Program Chair, Nick Bemish (email: nicholas.bemish@dia.mil) or the Commercial Program Co-Chair, Mike Dillinger (email: mike@translationoptimization.com). Should you elect to opt out of having your presentation included in the Proceedings, please notify one of them.
